ABOUT US
Our Story
The Altona Roosters Cricket Club began life as the Yarraville Baptist Cricket Club in 1906. To accommodate our growing membership in both our senior and junior teams, with the support of Hobson’s Bay Council, we relocated to Langshaw Reserve in Fifth Avenue, Altona North in 1997 and changed our name to honour our connection to our new community.
The growing strength of the club enabled us to join the Victorian Turf Cricket Association – in the 2009/2010 seasons. In the same year, Hobson’s Bay Council provided us with a new pavilion, function and clubrooms at Langshaw Reserve.
PLAYERS WANTED
Altona Roosters Cricket Club are on the lookout for new players of all ages, genders and abilities to join our club in the 2018/19 season.
This season we have registered four Senior men's teams (both turf and synthetic) and we hope to continue to build on our already established Ladies team.
We offer junior teams with both boys and girls in the U/11, U/13, U/15 and U/17 grades.
